Chapter 11    Switch Notification Settings

Switch notification settings enable each trader to determine when and how they will be notified of a switch to which they need to respond or process. This allows them to manage the data they receive and to structure their switch protocol accordingly.

The key switch notification concepts are:

• Only the supervisor logon for a trader can adjust switch notification settings

• A supervisor can maintain only his or her own switch notification frequency

• Switch notification settings must be set up for a trader to be notified of switch information

  If not set up, switch notifications will queue. Although you can perform a periodic sending of notifications by using the Switch Notification Settings screen, this is not recommended, as it is easy to forget to request that notifications be sent.
